    Yeah, I run a coralife 220. You must run a skimmer with bio pellets. The bacteria that forms has to be skimmed out, or you will have some major imbalances going on. ie major cyano.

    The only system I would ever try to run skimmerless is with an algae scrubber. Or like my 10 gallon nano, which I just do weekly water changes.
