What kind of hermit is that in your bucket page?

wow lots to reply to but first the tang reply its something i am fairly passionate about

jason first let me say no of my tang police comments are directed at you i realize u are jsut informing a fellow hobbyist but there are those out there that would jsut go loopy over my tangs, i havn't updated my sig the tank is actually a 55 i was in a 3ft tank but moved to a 4 ft i am not usually one to take a fishes tank size lightly but honestly the tang police can kiss my butt, max size on a powder brown is 8 inches so according to some of the tang cops i have spoken to this means i need a tank that is 80 inches long (10x the fishes body length) they are nuts and moving into a 65 or 75 really isn't going to give th fish more room as it is still only a 4ft tank yes they get an extra 6 inchs front to back but thats not the point for tangs anyways is it its that lateral length so tangs can reach the blistering speeds they achieve

i do agree you should always give you fish the most swimming area you can and if for a second i ever believed that my tank was hindering my fish i would move into a biger one faster but i guees what i am saying is that in all honesty i believe any 4 ft tank is sutable for the smaller tangs less then 8 inches and yes tangs CAN be kept together

sorry for rambling on as i said the tang topic really bugs me

I have no idea what that hermit is, it's in a friends tank and its wrkeaing havoc moving everything around all the time

and that is a dead brain coral that i rescued from a life as a door stop and decided to use in my tank
