    I don't have the money for this now but in a few years maybe. Could you have a in door saltwater pond with little to no light ?

    How dose light affect fishfor the long run

    Fish don't need light as much as coral do. IMO they just need a day light schedule for them to know when it's night time.

    Its doable for certain, but the main negative for me is that whilst Golfish and Koi are brightly enough coloured and wide enough flanked to present a great view when looked down at from above
    most marine fishes are best viewed from the sides IMO to fully appreciate their beauty

    so an indoor pond with viewing panels like at the public aquaria would be awesome IMO

    I agree with Steve. My LFS has a large indoor SW pond. I don't get it. Most SW fish look best from the side, not from the top. Not to mention water refraction, etc. making it hard to see

    Without a side view panel, I don't see it as very neat, just a lot of work. But once that side view panel is in, it's really just a big fish tank ;)

    But, really, it's no different than a FOWLR tank - just on a bigger scale (or not).
