Just a Thought???

im not sure if im crossing into the forbidden "politics" rule, but my wife and i were having a discussion last night, and it left ALOT of questions. since everyone knows we are all getting these goverment tax returns this year (free money, $300-1200 per person) what are we missing?? i mean, what does the goverment know that we dont? something like this has never happend ever!! why now? does this bother anyone else? please dont get into any arguments here, this is just something that popped into our heads last night, and now we are a little worried.....?? if this is offends anyone i apologize in advance, we are just a little puzzled by all this! has anyone else thought of this??

First, I really don't think there is ever 'free' money, it comes from somewhere and whether it be that the govn't has cut funding somewhere or dropped programs or whatever. Personally, I feel it is just an incentive to try to help the economy. It most likely won't but will allow many people to feel it does. Plus, the gov't will most likely getting the money right back as people spend it on whatever, but in particular larger and better reef set ups!

as for the original post, i figure i'm so far down the food chain that i'll just take whatever change Dub-yah wants to send my way and be alright with it...i'll speak up in november...

The theory is that it will stimulate the economy by us going out and buying stuff and keep us from sinking further into a recession.

I think there is no way this thread will avoid politics so I am closing it. Sorry.
