Just appeared today...bubble algae??

    That is a pretty cool video, basically set up a little vacuum. Good idea.

    You pop them all like in the video, even if you are sucking out some water, and you will be overrun with Bubble Algae. Nice video, but I literally cringed watching as some of them popped and he didn't get all of the water. That water probably had thousands of spores being carried to other places in the tank. You can just remove them by hand. Gently, but firmly, grab a hold of one and wiggle it back and forth. Eventually, you will wiggle it loose from the rock without popping it (with it's hold-fast attached). Take it out of the tank and throw it away. Keep doing each one by hand. If you can't get it loose, let it go for another time (maybe a week later). Sometimes the 2nd time around you will get it loose easier. DON'T force it.

    I purchased asome corals from my LFS and when i got it home and moved it around i found that it had some bubble algae on it. The next week i went out and got some emerald crabs. within 2 weeks or so all the algae was gone. i never saw them eating it but it just disappeared. this was 4-5 months ago. No Bubble algae since.
