Note: Both of these corals have specific feeding requirements. The Tubastrea is non-photosynthetic and each polyp will need to be fed. Your Trachyphyllia will likely need to be fed at least weekly.

2-3 times a week is good (actually, far more than necessary, but still not overfeeding) for the trachy, but you need to feed the tubastrea more often. I would say that it needs to be fed daily. Also, make sure each head gets some of the food, as any that get continually neglected will die. They don't share nutrients from one head to the other.

no wonder why the Tuba was on sale for 30 lol... feeding it is serious. I'll get a small syringe and start my feeding tomorrow. the LFS said it's part photosynthetic but needs food 2-3 times a week. does everyone agree it needs to eat at least once a day? Not doubting just want to make sure so this beauty doesn't die on me.

Trachyphyllia isn't looking that good, it appears a bit bleached and it's skeleton is showing. What kind of lights do you have? I would put it down low on the sand bed and let it recover. Typiclaly I do not feed Trachyphyllia often, but I would feed it meaty foods at least once or twice a week until it recovers.

The sun coral looks good, but needs to be fed often. Every other day is probably the minimum. When you feed it, something like chopped up mysis is good, but you may need to do something to keep your fish and CUC from stealing food from it. I used to use the bottom of a 2-litter soda bottle, with lots of holes punched in it to let water flow though. Just place it over it. after you feed it. Alternatively, some people will take it out and put it in a separate container to feed. Crabs esspecially will steel all the food from it, so just watch out and go to the on of the alternative feeding methods if food is being taken from it. It does require a special care, but certainly can be kept.

the tubastrea looks like it hasnt been fed in some time so you might have a hard time getting it to live. i dont think your lfs should have sold it to you without you knowing exactly how to take care of it...

anyways, an easy way to get the polyps to initially come out is to can take it out of the water and put it into a separate container with tank water. then add some shrimp into the container. come back a few minutes later and see if the polyps have come out. If so, then feed each and every polyp (as stated by everyone already) a few shrimp or pellets or something.

Dingo the polyps all came out like 5 mins after beeing in my tank. Looked completely different from the moment i put it in. I'm just worried about the trach since M2434 said it looks bad.....
