    just to explain a bit further

    m2434 actually said it looks bleached - I agree the colors look washed out a bit to me also

    bleached means the symbiotic algae or some of them have left the coral so the colors are faded

    he then explained that by feeding them (which compensates for the food they lose out on due to the departed Zooxanthellia is compensated for)

    then leave it low on the sand bed is good
    and it will become repopulated with the symbiotic algae in a matter of time ( no hard and fast rules as to how long this will take, but IME properly cared for, it will happen no worries)

    Thanks steve.... to be honest im new to the hobby and they both caught my eye... I didn not see either two of these corals in any other tank. Only in the "special" tank. I didn't think "special" meant sick..... This is why i love 3reef.
