Crap now I'm looking at a new cc gun! I'd like something I can slip in my pocket! Being super skinny, hiding a gun many places but down the front of my pants or the back is a challenge in warm weather!

I buy almost everything online, but this may need a trip to the store! BTW I'm 6'6" so I find smaller guns hard to fire right due to big hands! But carrying a full size SW MP 40 is awkward at best in the summer. But i do like the stopping power plus number of rounds

I am not a big fan of the lc9 but like ruger in general. I am in love with the springfield pistols. Never had a jam with any ammo (even the cheap stuff). I normally carry a wheel gun. Since I am in Montana and I am more likely to come into contact with a bear then an angry man I carry a sw 629 classic in .44 mag. I usually carry 2 bird shot shells and 4 280 grain hornadys. I can hit a man sized target at 100 yards 5/6 times

I LOVE my springfield xd 9mm, but its not much smaller than my SW 40, so i carry that instead, and use the 9 for the range.

Not bad. In the winter here I've been known to carry an SP89 on a sling under my jacket, my 1911 on my hip, and sometime a revolver on the ankle for good measure. Always have at least two knives on me as well. Here in Nevada its equal chance bear or meth head.

Learning to handload would go a long way with those calibers. I havent bought ammo in 5 years, and I shoot around 10K rounds a year.

It's not the most high end piece you can get,but for a pocket pistol, but check out the Sterling 300 auto .25 caliber, packs a decent little punch and easy to stuff in the front or back of your pants, like I say though,it's not a big dog,but for a cheaper smaller pocket pal,I like it.A tee shirt easily covers it. (my gut probably helps hide it a bit too ;D)

Personally not a fan of 9mm. Ruger is a good gun. I carry a sr40 ruger and like it for the morst part. We live in the country so we do have many guns. My wife hates guns but carries a mosquto sig .22 which I laugh at but she tries. I think with the 9mm you just dont have the stopping power when it comes to self defence. I think if just shooting its great because ammo is cheap. Its all about what your looking for and what the intent is. Its not a bad gun just not my choice.

I never thought there would be debate on this site of the stopping power of a 9mm.

I didn't even think the common argument of stopping power of a .380 would could into play here, never mind the 9! Too funny.

    Shot placement folks!

(that being said, aside from the Walther PPK, there are almost no .380 semi-autos that seem to cycle reliably which is MY main issue with carrying a .380)
