So i purchased 5 corals the other night from a seller on craigslist.

    The corals I purchased were..

    ORA red planet
    Blue Millepora
    Purple Rim Apple Cap Montipora
    Vivid Valida Acropora
    Orange digitata Montipora

The picture of the frag rack has 4 of them on there..
the orange digi is in the back left
the ORA red planet is in the front left
vivid valida is in the front to the right of the red planet (its second from the left in the front)
The purple rim is the big montipora in the front row

After i placed the red planet on the rocks i took a picture of it right next to the blue millepora I bought.

I attached a better picture of the digi and valida as well.

I paid $100 for the 5 frags.. do you think i got a good deal?

Also there is a tan or brown circular coral in the back row on the frag rack.. third from the left in the back? What kind of coral is that.. is it a chalice?

Also the blue millepora doesnt look very blue and i was wondering if some of them just arent or if they get bluer with age? I know lighting can affect corals colors.

    Thanks..

Those are some very good prices for those particular corals. Red Planets usually go for about 60 bucks a pop.

That is an excellent deal, the coral you asked about looks like a Montipora to me.

nice pick ups! I think you got a really fair price for your corals. As for Blue corals, I find they lose color the fastest from stress of transport and new tanks. THey will take time, but given good water and light will color back up!!! My blues just started to look eye poopping blue the last month or so.

Fair deal, some of those look okay to me. And that is a monti as mentioned above. What lights are above them?
