Just bought T5 light fixture

Hello everyone,

Just bought a Current USA Nova Extreme T5 X2 Aquarium Lighting Fixture, 2X18 Watt, 18 inch last night. It's for a 10 gallon tank and rest of info in signature. I am wondering if i should build up the time i have the light on over my tank each day (I have no corals or mushrooms, just live rock). I was thinking to have it on an hour for the first day and add an hour each day after that?? I have no idea if that is correct or not. Any advice is helpful.

if all you have is LR I would just turn it on. If you still have the feather duster,shrimp, and damsel I would turn it on for 4 hrs the 1st day and increase it by 1/2 to 1 hr a day just to minimize stress on them. JMO but probably not necessary.

 

Thanks. Ya the damsel, shrimp, and feather duster are still in there, so i guess ill do the 4 hour first and add an hr a day?
