I am looking for a skimmer for my 65g. It is going to have a pretty decent bio-load. My problem is space under my tank is limited. The footprint needs to be less the 7x10 and the shorter the better. I am really looking for power in a compact design.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

well I'm thinking about buying the swc 120 cone skimmer, you may want the 160 but I don't know if its less then 7x10 like the 120

The SWC extreme 160 is listed as having a 9 x 7 footprint

I ordered the SWC 150 BMK. IT uses the same pump as the 160 cone, is $75 cheaper, and has a little smaller footprint. Everything I have read elsewhere seems to be positive.

Does anyone here have one? Do you think it should perform well on my 65g?

Excellent choice. More than enough and room for a future upgrade.
