Hello I have the marineland t-5 light fixture over my 150 and I thought it was pretty bright--It is a 4x54w--I went out today and bought an identicle fixture, and changed the bulbs in my original fixture to UV1's. The new bulbs have more of a purple spectrum and the marineland has a more blue. When I removed the canopy and cut and mounted the lights. I re-installed it and plugged them both in. I thought at first there was not alot of difference. The I shut 1 of the fixtures off and looked at it as it used to be. WOW!! I don't know how I was only running one! I like the purple and blue together, gives a nice look. Thought I would share. I would post pics but I dont think you would be able to see the difference in a photo.

Congrats, lighting makes all the difference in the word, I recently upgraded mine as well and now it looks so much more like a reef.

Now that it is getting dark in the house I can really see the difference.
