I just finished my plumbing and realized I made atleast two tragic errors. :(
    1. I glued this all togeather before posting a pic and getting exper opinions. :)
    2. I forgot a check valve!
Is it possible to put the check valve for the return right at the pump?

If you have an overflow box and siphon breaks on the return (or lock line not submerged halfway into the tank to siphon the water down), you don't need check valves.

looks good, but why so many different connections on the right? looks like you could have just got away with using a union and pvc like you did on the left one.

I def. could have, but I relized this after the gluing, hence the wishing I would have posted the setup before I glued it...lol

always lay everything out and get it all setup without glue first then you can get an idea of how its going to work, or adapt the design as needed. i had to cut out $50 worth of plumbing from my sump from my mistakes the first time around :)

just curious, why arent you using PVC for the whole thing? the right side looks like you pieced it together with spare parts you had laying around. i personally dont like hoses they can leak. things that can leak i stray from.

    left side looks good

Looking good....I always like to make sure I can remove everything too in case I have to adjust or tighten something a little better.

I guess it is not perfect, and I will probably get redone eventually. But, do you guys think it will work out ok? As in no flooding...lol

As long as your sump can hold the extra volume if the power goes out you'll be fine.

It might not look good aesthetically, but if it doesn't leak, its fine. I do have one piece of advice thou, if your not happy with it now, don't wait until the tank is up and running to make the changes you want to do. Do it now while the tank is empty.

Yes, and along with that, make sure your return nozzle is just under the surface, this creates good surface movement and when you turn off the return pump (or power goes out) you won't still be siphoning water to the sump.
