    its not a spagehtti worm, i have those, but this is much thinner and not alive.

    I have seen string slime with sand stuck in it coming from snails and Anemones. I always wrote it off as their discharge or slime.

    I have same thing right now hanging off my Slug and Anemone.

    i have seen litte amounts of it on snail and such, but not in this quaity. plus there was a werid looking arm of what i guess to be a starfish of sorts (i havent added any starfish, and it looks pretty big to be just a hitchicker) anywho, two of snails did get eaten by my hermmies i think just wanted the shells, jerks...

    but thanx for the help.

    it looks like a coral regirgitating, but its hard to make out from the pics, does your camera have an autofocus or macro mode?

    You need to use the close-up setting on your digital camera to get a better picture. On my Kodak camera, I go to the menu setting and select the "flower" for close up pics, and they come out much better in the tank. For pics of you fish, you will probably have better luck using the sports or action setting, which should have a quicker shutter/shorter exposure time - and it won't catch "trails" as the fish is swimming.

    thats a good idea, looks like i will have to updaste some pic when i get off work. as soon as i get my underwater housing they will be in tank pics, uhhh yeah...
