unfortunately I don't have a pic of the worm that I found but there are quite a few of them, the biggest I've seen being about a half inch long. The tank is fairly new and they have started coming out of the rock, they're white and red striped and no wider then a couple strands of hair, seem to be feeding off the algae growing on the rock. When they're done they just slip back into holes in the live rock. does anyone have a pic of something like that or have them in their tank?

I have them in mine very small and white? if yes, I'm pretty sure they're harmless. Nothing of mine has disappeared and everything looks good I'll post a pic of mine when photobucket stops loading from my camera

They are small and white white even spaced red bands, they don't just meander around aimlessly it looks like they have a purpose. Nothing harmed so far but then again I'm just waiting for things to be right before I add fish. Wanna figure out what this is before I go and do something about it....

If they don't fully leave the hole in the rock, it would be either a spaghetti worm or a hair worm. If so, you lucked out as either are great detrivores.

They do leave and roam around a bit then dissappear right back in, either way they don't appear to be any harm

funny little worms aren't they....they move really quick and can stretch pretty long. I have a few here and there and they never seem to do anything but go into and out of the holes in the rocks.

That's exactly what they are, and they are fast. Thanks for finding that....
