just got 120 pounds of live rock do i just put in in tank ?

you say you dont want SPS now, i didnt want a reef tank 9 months ago, now i have softies lps and sps. adn a dersa clam! your opion cna change fast my friend, just watch out, our tanks are bottomless blue money pits.

Some, yes. but not much IME. LR is exposed to air for many hrs at a time with little ill effect. i would not recommend leaving the rock out for much more then an hr as you will lose more and more bacteria the longer it is kept out no doubt, but just shipping LR exposes it to air for long lengths of time and seems to do ok. I let the rock sit out for a little more then an hr and out came unwanted crabs and other pests granted i also lost pods.
