Like the title says my bf Epixstar and I just got 4 Metaframe brand (a company from the 60's) aquariums for only $50! :bouncylau
These tanks have really thick glass and slate bottoms. The whole tank has a Stainless Steel frame around the top, bottom and sides. I must say they look pretty grooy:afro:

At the moment I am both psyched to have them, but also really really sad because he went on a hunting trip in the Upper Peninsula of Mi (we live in the in the SE part) with his brother and dad. This is the first time in almost three years we have been apart from each other :bawling: and I cant stand it. I needed to get that off my chest because Im so worried about them shooting eachother in the face or foot or something:uzi::dead:. Lol. If you knew them you'd be scared too.::)

I will make him post some pics of the tanks when he gets back because they are in the garage getting ready for restoration and I'm not allowed in there as it is where my X-mas presents are hiding. This will make 6 Metaframes in all for us. They arent easy to come by nowadays and the Metaframe Bubblers and filters are harder to get.
I did buy a Metaframe bubbler for him for X-mas, but doggone it I found out the person I was betting on eBay against was him!

We're using them for his freshwater fish. We like to restore them just for fun. We put a sheet of glass just over top of the slate, cushioned with a thin layer of silicone, and seal it. Stops the leaking right away. ;D
We have a 50 and a 20 set up. The other three if I am not mistaken are 16, 18, 27, and I cant quite remember the last one.

Yeah he told me that some ****** was bidding against him. I asked him what he was bidding on (As I forbade him from shopping for himself because every time he buys something I have to turn around around and return his X-mas gift. Happens every year). He told me with a sheepish grin and I was rolling with laughter.
