just got a 65g coralife super skimmer

    Just wondering if there is any tricks to this.in the what's better wet or dry skimming. There is not much waste being produced. Any info will help

    when you start the skimmer, let it run for about 3 or for days with the water level as low as it can go in the skimmer then start adjusting from there.

    It takes a few days to get going, but then it works great...at least mine does. I have had it for years, and I love it. I run mine in-sump.

    I just bought the 220 model for my new 120 install as well...so I am a big fan.

    i also have one the only thing about these darn skimmers are they are so touchy you turn the knob a lil and everything is ok but an hour later your collection cup is full an about to over flow but if you can stay on top of that its a great skimmer

    well it can be tuned good but the big factor is if you tune it with lower water levels then when you go to top thw tank off thats when you get the flood

    lol i have the same problem i just got mine started like 5 days ago, and i did what it said to let it break-in, then i adjusted it, but i check it out couple hours later and the collection cup is about to flood. i have mine in a 15gal sump, any tips of what i can do to prevent this from happening?

    my skimmer is turned all the way down has been since i got it only time I turn it up is when my water level gets low but i have to remember to turn it back down before i fill the tank back up
