just got a rock fish

just gotta rock fish, awesome looking, helluva appetite.

after my grouper ate all my smaller fish i said what the hell, and took him off my brother's hands. looks like i might have a predator tank.

he's acclamating now so i'll have pics up soon.

awesome! my father in law has a the record for catching rock fish out of a river here. They swin upstream to spawn and then go back down to the ocean. His record is 82# but has caught many 40-50lb'rs! can you get a pic?

This is hiim with the 82#er take into account he is a very big man, stands 6'4"

 

i'll get a pic soon, but i think we're talking about different rock fish. mine's salt water and is a close relative to the scorpion fish, extremely venomous, and i don't think they get that big.

You sure thats called a rockfish? I'm an avid fisherman and that looks like a stripped bass to me. Maybe called different things in different parts of the country.

might be, but I do know they come from the ocean and go into rivers to spawn probably is a different fish
