All I can say is wow. Some of the videos might have gassed my head up a bit with the waves it produced in little tanks, but the powerhead is super powerful. I turn it on to short pulse mode and tons of debris came flying out of no where. And mind you I have 2 koralia 3's and 2 maxijet 1200 in the tank for flow.

It is noisy, but I guess theres a break in period? But who cares this thing is sick.

I have a ball of chaeto floating in the tank that gets pushed away gets about 40 percent across the tank before the returning current forces it to the bottom of the tank back to the vortech where it gets pushed out again.

I should have bought this thing a whole lot sooner. It was well worth the 350 dollars I paid for it.

I also discovered they are based in my home town of Bethlehem, PA. Funny enough their building is about 10 feet from the projects lol!!!

See I justified it with the energy cost savings from running 1 pump as opposed to 6 before. It will eventually pay for itself.

The pump is fantastic. I use mine on the pulse mode too. Not too strong, in quick bursts.

If it's noisy, chances are it's not aligned perfectly. If you are able, view the pump from the opposite side of the tank. You can see both the wet side and dry side from that vantage point. If you can see both, line them up until they're "one" from that profile.

    Mine is near silent.

    Good luck. :)

Mine are lined up great I think it might be due to the rubber glass depth thingy I have no idea what to set it on.

my glass is 5/16 of an inch thick or better said it goes up to the 5th line of my inch ruler.

I have two of the 40's in my 120 and love them.. I'm with you. I had a ton of debis blow up when I put them in.. Make sure you set up the night mode to give your reef a break. I would also make sure you set that spacer.. Hate to see you damage the impeller because it was not set up correctly K+ on your new purchase.
