the ea is going back.... it did nothing positive for my tank, it did nothing negitive either but it was supposed to make things easier and better but it did not. i also bought something else at tfp, its called a hydor flo. i had read about them and i wanted to try them. what they are is a little attachment that goes on the end of a powerhead or in my case on the return coming back from my chiller. what they do is rotate 360 degrees due to the water pumping through the flo, and since my 2 are on a return that is coming through a scwd, 1 side rotates for about 20 seconds then stops, and then the other side rotates for 20 seconds, pretty cool device, the only problem with them is that they can only handle up to 310 gph which is usually not good enough for a return on a larger tank but perfect for most powerheads that are used for current. i will take a few pics of them tonight and post them. i will also let you guys know if i have any problems getting my money back from ea.

I've seen ads for those, I take it you like them?
Notice any back pressure or anything?

Hope its nothing like those piece of :-X power sweeps. Those things work for like a week. It looks like there is some type of gear in there. Does it look like it is built well and made to last?

i have not noticed any back pressure at all, i have only had them on for a few days so i am not sure how long they will last, they were only about 12 dollars each so i figured what the heck. so far they work flawlessly. i will keep everyone posted. if they keep doing well we are going to stock them in the shop i work for. we always try new things before we sell them to our customers and if something is a piece of crap we won't sell it just to make money. we had the power sweeps when they first came out and i thought it was a great idea, however in the real world they sucked, same thing with rio pumps, we stock neither, and talk our customers out of them if we can.

This dosn't sound like any LFS I've ever seen. I wish I lived near you. The stores around me will take your money and run. I used to laugh at Wal-marts advise on fish now I think some of the LFS are just as bad. I was at a LFS the other day and the had Juvenile Green Spotted Puffers in Fresh and Salt. These fish are predominately brackish but will go to marine as adults. I tried to tell them other wise and they told me that there are 3 different species. People I tell ya.
