My girlfriend and i left town for four days and we just got home, the temperature in our area dropped drastically and caused our tank to go down to 72, and some of the fish look pretty thin i think the feeder wasnt working very well as it usually does. our new yellow belly hippo is sitting between a rock not looking very good, i already fed and everyone seems happy but the hippo just isnt doing well.Any advice on what i should do? I went ahead and turned on the lights so it will start warming up again, im thinking i should do 2 degrees a day untill i reach 79 again. as well as slowly feeding back up to normality I have not done any research yet to see if this has happened to anyone else im almost late to class so i will be on it when i come back, any adivice would be greatly appreciated. ill post a few pictures when i get back home.

The temp swing probably really stressed out the fish. Give it a few days to see how the hippo reacts, but keep in mind they are very prong to ich. Try to keep things as stable as possible, including lighting cycles and dosing.

Get you a heater or two and if your tank is drilled drop them in the overflows.

Thanks for the input guys, the hippo is looking great now that the temp is back to 79 and their feeding is regular again, i think it was just really stressed like you said Guitarman, i do have a heater which i turned up just a bit , seems to be better i guess the fall season is taking its effect on my tank. i do have a sterilizer so probability of ich is low. man im releived
