congrats! That is cool. I too recently took a new job (with a big pay cut) but it guarenteed me certain things...such as actual work hours, vacation, holidays etc. I miss the pay but it is nice to know that I am going to have a job that day (was a private contractor)

Tell me about 3rd party payers...that is my job..trying to squeeze money out of them. It is only going to get worse!

Hooray for you indeed. To heck with the paycut and vacation loss. I'd definitely be willing to deal with those if I had a job that worked around my life a little better!!

PS. Am I to assume that you will not have any direct contact with any of the prisoners?

wow thats pretty cool. My pops is a pharmacist and he works some pretty crappy hours. So hooray for the consistant schedule. I left a security job at amgen that I worked 8-5 monday threw friday. Loved the hours but hated the job. So I quit and now manage a petco for money but crappy hours. But I enjoy this job so its all worth it. If I had a family I probably would of opted for the better hours. Family is the most important thing you can have.

The great thing is, I won't have contact with them. I mix with them occasionally, but I don't hand out meds. I just put them together. It's pure production.

Yup, I am and will continue....You're lady works retail?
Only when I walk past them on the way to the pharmacy. They are lined up filling out paperwork and waiting for the doc. The medical wing is all-inclusive.

Gotta enjoy what you do. Period. I was officially burnt out about two years ago and was just hanging on because that is what is expected of me. I am the breadwinner, so I put up with the BS. But this job is seriously taylor made for me. I am still in awe that it even exists.
