Yeah....Spark and Luna, you guys pretty much nailed it. Honestly, I hate going to work every single day. Didn't used to be like that. Shouldn't be like that. I like to work. I have been employed since a week after my 16th birthday with no break (I have been lucky with the job market), and it's only been the last three or four years that I hate my job (not pharmacy----retail pharmacy).

My wife has watched my health decline and my stress level increase to heights that can only be answered by a heart attack or stroke. OK, that may have been an overstatement, but you get the idea. When I get home, there is nothing left. Not for the kids, not for my wife. Certainly not for myself.

So thanks guys. Your stories give me hope that this isn't a grass is greener kind of move. I don't believe in the grass is greener scenario. Too many people get caught up in it and lose out on good things. All I want out of this, really, is to enjoy what i do again. The benefits package is just a plus at this point.

Oh, and the fact i can grow a beard. THAT is important. The beard. Very manly. Very studly. Of, course, I am that anyway......but every little bit helps::);)

I'm one of those road warrior, career oriented types. I never intend to have children. I like high stress, I like running and gunning and living out of airports and bags and being new places every week. The stress is high, but the feeling of accomplishment is what does it for me. I really dig what I do... I'm not sure what I would do with a slower paced job, lol.

Well said. I guess maybe stress isn't the perfect word. If you like what you do, there's going to be inherently less stress. If running and gunning is your preference, it'll never be burdensome--IMO.

There's an expression that goes something like "When you love what you do for a living, you don't work a day in your life."

Yeah, kids ain't me, either. My wife and I are very happy sans kiddies. And that's how it's going to stay.

The only factors that had me coming to work was the money and the women( eye candy ). You have to like-love what you do. No money in the world will make you happy. Like I said before, look forward and never look back.

;) money doesn't buy happiness... it only enables it... ;)

(no money is a serious stress inducer, eh)

Those who say money does not buy happiness - do not know where to shop.
