Just got my GFO reactor from Bulk Reef Supply. Extreamly pleased with the item and working in the tank right now!!! How long does it take to usually remove all the phosphates in the tank? I have a 70 gallon reef with .25 of phosphate. What will be the advantages with having all the phosphates out? I have a couple SPS i got for Christmas and can't wait to finally see them! UPS man was late and came at 8:34pm. I was this close to calling them! Thank god he came!! I have no patients what so ever! haha :p

you will never remove all of them 0.03 is the closests you can get...phosphates are needed to some degree, i am sure you have been asked this but what type of water do you use, how much do you feed etc?

Ok! Just did my research on google and found that these are the main things it will help.

    Cut back on excess algae
Makes colors pop more (not so brown and show their true colors)
    Excel coral skeltan growth

    Anything else you can add?

It is not an extremely fast process. Usually able to see marked differences within a month, sometimes quicker.

You should see less algae. To include the powder-like algae that grows on your glass.... this equates to less cleaning of your glass. If you have GHA, you should see it stop spreading, then start receding.

Your SPS should start to color up more. With the higher phosphate levels, most SPS will show more browns than their true colors.
