    Ok so here goes...

I just replaced my PM redline skimmer for a MRC MR1.

I am new to the whole beckett thing, having some basic issues. First off those install instructions are useless, no help with basic adjustments.

There is no instruction about the installation of the silencer, the one I have is not the exact one in the diagram, it has a small valve and cap with a hole drilled in the top with some cotton in the hole.

I plumbed up my iwaki 40RLT pump and fired it up, I closed the gate valve on the drain side to allow the water to rise into the riser, the water rises and also rises above the holes in the beckett and up to the silencer and spills out the hole in the cap with the cotton in it.

I tried to open the valve in the silencer hoping it would lower the water level but it did not.

Wish it came with better instructions...

Im sure Im doing something wrong, seems simple but I need some help.

Please a the pic of my set up..

    Any input would be awesome

    Thanks

So did you get this resolved. Messed with Becketts briefly. Can't quite remember the air and water adjustments....

But... whenever I got as skimmer... my first step was to call the maker( I wanted to know all the supplemental info the "instructions" left out)... they are more than helpful. The internet is good... but actually talking to the company helps much more.
