Just got my RO/DI !! GOt a few ??

hey all,
well I just finished hooking up my new RO/DI unit. I was just wondering how long I should let it run so the filters "rinse" out before the water is ready for use? It's a 100 gpd 6 stage unit.

After going over to Otty's house today and checking out his RO/DI unit I have decided that when I buy one I will get an inline digital dual TDS meter like he has, very cheap insurance letting you know if the unit is working properly, and it would answer your question in a fraction of a second.
Example: HM Digital In-line Dual TDS Meter (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Reverse Osmosis > Purity Monitors )

You can also purchase portable units, but these inline ones are convenient as can be!

 

i think if you let 2-3 gallons run through it you should be fine.

 

an inline tds is def in the plans, it's just not that easy to get things where I live. thanks guys I'll let it run for an hour or so.

 

what brand is the unit?? im in the market and am trying to see how many reefers recommend one over another.
