Pack - I was surprised that you didn't comment on my glock vs kimber comment. I fully expect an abrasive retort and or mockery

    ;D :rifle:

Naw. I love Glocks. They are like the AK-47 of the pistol world. Cheap, not pretty, but come hell or high water, they go bang EACH AND EVERY time you pull the trigger. They are quality guns, and I have had a few in my time that I enjoy shooting. I just like my Kimbers (and 1911's in general) because I, as an individual, shoot them better. But hey, if you shoot a Glock good on ya. The only time I give people crap is when they have crap guns that we all know are plagued with reliability issues (think like the $200 Kel-Tecs or Sigmas and the like). A good gun in good hands is just as effective as another good gun in good hands ;) I never get tied up in caliber as a lot of people do to. The way I put it, I'd rather be shot in the arm with a .44 magnum than in the head with a .22 ;) I just believe in shooting whatever you shoot best. Everyone is an individual. Just make sure that the gun is a quality gun that will work when you need it, and Glocks certainly are.

I have the new Taurus PT1911. It shoots pretty nicely and reliably. Comes with all the bells and whistles too. It's a good entry level 1911, costing less than half a Kimber. I think I paid around $550 for my Taurus. Might be something to check out if you want to get a little 1911 play toy on a budget ;)
