just have to ask....why on craigslist???

i have now been trying to sell my 72g bowfront since January of this year. It has been a mess. After selling my parents tank, i decided to put it back up. Apparently there is a lot of interest in tanks in the St Louis area. Since last night I have had 2 people interested. One is offering me a trade.....this set up for a 135g non-reef set up and the other is interested in buying it! I need the cash more than another tank so hopefully the buyer is as serious as he sounds. He told me upfront that he loves this tank and has been looking for this set up! So keeping finger crossed!!!

well the guy was going to come and pick it up tonight at 7pm. He didnt haggle at all! So we decide to carry it outside and hose it down and get it all nice and clean for him, when we hear..............splittt! Not sure how it happened, but this tank was hard plumbed and we left a small piece of pipe on the bulkheads and it somehow hit something hard enough to cause the entire bottom of the tank to splinter! GRRRR.....there goes the sale. Just took the tank and stand out to the trash dumpster. I am soooooo mad! It is just our luck with tanks though!

The tank was tempered so the bottom just splintered all the way across the bottom from one side to the other!

Ok on a side note, what do you all think is a fair price to sell a hydor perfermor skimmer used about 1 year Hydor Performer Protein Skimmers

going to break apart what we do have left and see if we can make anything out of what is left over. We have skimmers all over our house, so I dont want to keep this one
