Hello fellow reefers. I'm Chris , yes I am a gator fan, so don't hate me just yet. Lol
I have been in the hobby for almost 3 years now, and love my 40breeder. I want to just gather mor input from fellow reefers for knowledge . In this hobby if you don't listen and have the trial and error. You won't enjoy the rewards in the end. I run mostly lps and softies . But plan on adding sps, as soon as I get more light and receive my WP40 Chinese vortech powerhead withe controller . If you haven't heard this yet. There is a 40+ page on RC about them. I will post up some pics here after while. I just wanted to say Ello you all!
    Chris

Welcome Chris! We'll take you even though you're a gator fan j/k....welcome to the site and it's always nice when we get a chance to see PICS - we love them here! This is a great and helpful site with tons of experienced reefers in a multitude of areas. We can learn from you too it sounds like! I've been on reef central too but I have found this site to be much less judgmental and helpful to hobbyists than the "vibe" I get on reef central. I'm not knocking RC, I just like this site much better.

Welcome and do post some pics if you get a chance!

    Welcome to 3Reef.

Ya know, (said the TX Longhorn fan), I've been checking out those WP40's also.

I don't have one yet, but, it would seem that the wp40 would be too much flow for your 40b. I know they come with a controller, and even be further controlled with a Variable DC power source like a universal (variable) laptop DC power source.

Again, Welcome to 3Reef, hang around,

Now Gatorman, where are the pics of your tank? ;-)

thanks guys... thats why I ordered a ac/dc power supply from amazon to knock the 24v down to 15v.... I saw a video on a 60 cube, and I pulled the trigger. 87 =26 for shipping , I am down with this try vs/ 485.00 for a MP40 lol. 1/8th of the cost.
if it ends up being to much, I got a buddy that will take it , and I will just get 2 WP10's that will be out sometime this month, or next month ..... no biggie !

Note : latest addition was the sump about 4-5 months ago. Was running a canister for a long time and HOB skimmer.
