Just noticed red spikes with white tops on rocks.

Anyone seen or know what this is? I cant find it in the book that i have. Thanks for any help.

 

Vermatid snails? Can't make them out in the picture.

 

I can't see what you want identified. Looks like a pruple rock, maybe with Cyano and Coraline.

 

I am leaning towards hydroids. Take a look at the images on this link about half way down there is an image that looks very much like yours.

+1 Stinging Hydroids. They can harm corals if there nets come in contact with them. I have them in my tank they do not seem to like light.

Vermatids generally don't have white tips but look very similar. If you look at the link Corailline provided you will see the difference. Manual removal is the only way I know of getting rid of them.
