hahaha That's basically how it works. It more like I think I want some new clothes and then we end up buying fish stuff. haha happens every time! I love shopping with my GF. haha ;D ;D ;D

I don't think my girlfriend is full on fish nerd like me but she loves it. She goes to the LFS with me all the time and loved my clown fish before they died. They were her "babies." But she was out with her friends recently and the bar had a fish tank so she pointed it out and no one cared.

She called me when she got home (woke me up mind you!) to tell me b/c some one had to be excited like her and her friends just weren't.

I did have one boyfriend who came with me to all the fish stores and he enjoyed it too, he would always help me and tell me I should get all the stuff he thought was cool, I let him pick out some fish, he bought me some corals once, it was a green birdsnest.. my tank wasn't suit for it so it died.. I felt bad haha, but I miss him he always wanted to go with me when I went shopping for my tank!! Im okay with them not being a full on nerd reefer, but I just want them to think its cool and fun and I want them to want to come with me to look at fish or help me pick out corals.
