Beautiful fish, has always been one of my favorites. They love algaes, and they can sting you. Try to avoid getting close to its spines on its back (Thats what it stings with, and it hurts a little more than a bee sting is what some people have reported). Good luck :)!

    Thanks guys!

Luckily I live only 15 mins away from my LFS so he wasnt too stressed out ...

Saw him swimming around already, although he got a little spooked when I came near the tank..

I threw in some pellets and after 30 seconds he gobbled them right up so DEF GREAT NEWS THAT HES ALREADY EATING!

I hope you don't plan on keeping coral.......I loved my one spot, until I started keeping coral. Now I hate him and have been trying to re-home him. He has developed a special taste for zoas.

I have seen rabbitfish go for coral but it's typically when they don't get enough to eat. They absolutely need food all the time. Mine always has a nori sheet in his tank and gets fed 2 or 3 times per day and has never touched anything other than the stuff he is supposed to. I would, however, almost pay him to start munching on GSP and Xenia. Both of which I have an abundance of.

Daniel: Do you think If I threw in some pellets in the morning, as well as put some seaweed select on a clip.. and feed some pellets at night that would be enough for him?

Also how many pellets you think should be good for him?

As much as he can eat, I would think. I just make sure mine always has something to graze on. My rabbit fish is one of the reasons i don't add anymore fish to the tank. Putting a bunch of food in there is going to raise nutrient levels but is a necessary evil with these fish. If you keep him well fed and something to eat on a constant basis, he should be fine. For example, put a nori sheet in there in the morning before work and if it's gone when you get home, put another one in. This is what I do for my rabbit and he is super fat and happy go lucky! BTW, watch those spines if you put your hand in the tank for any reason. My rabbit will hand feed but he comes rushing up and those spines concern me a bit
