Thanks Daniel, think I will do that exactly..

Put in a sheet of Nori / Seaweed select in the morning before work so he has something to eat and then pellets when I come home and maybe another nori / seaweed sheet if the first one is done...

And yup... I def know to watch out for the spines... but knowing how clumbsy I am, its only a matter of time till I get stuck!

Kind of feel bad now as I fed him some pellets last night but didn't give him anything this morning and won't be home till 6 pm Eastern... hope he's ok and isn't too hungry...

Hey Giants, if you are a busy guy, you can always buy an auto feeder.

I dont know if I'm that busy, just the standard 9-5 kinda deal...

Autofeeder might come in handy though... I will def look into it... any particular one that is good?

I should be able to def feed once around 7 AM before work and then I usually get back by 6 PM.. so I am thinking if I give hime some pellets in the morning and place a sheet of seaweed in the tank.. then feed him again some pellets at 6, he should be good? right? Or do you reccomend seaweed in the morning (7AM), autofeeding maybe at 1ish and then again at like 6 pm?

Also, I am using a glass top for the bowfront tank.. so an autofeeder might not be usuable since there wouldnt be an area to place it, that I am aware of.

Have never really seen an autofeeder in real life... so only estimating the size , etc...

Oh and only reason I didn't feed him this morning was becasue I wasn't sure if I was supposed to since I just fed him last night... but I will from now on always make sure there is some food for him in the morning...

Auto Feeders are cool. Obviously, its a bit of a privilege more than it is a necessity, so its all up to you and how you feel. Also, they are helpful with many holiday trips and unexpected events that occur in a busy working life...

the pellets in the morning, seaweed lunch, and pellet dinner sounds like a good amount of food to me. Although I have never had a Fox Face of my own, the one at the LFS I once worked at had, obviously, tons go through the system. But that is also a bad comparison because we would feed a complete mixed blend twice a day, and the Fox Face were never kept in a reef environment .

    Can you clarify?

Do you just go to the grocery store and by a head of lettuce and rip off a piece rinse it in water and toss it on a clip and throw it in the tank or what?

Yup, you can go and get Red Romain and rinse it off, and put them on a clip.
