Ok, so I have 2 of these in my tank. Just realized my GSP is totally dead. Dont know why but I constantly saw these guys on and around. I just assumed that they are what is produced when the polyps die off. What was weird is they would be in different parts of the tank at different times. Since ive never had coral before, I assumed the polyps pieces wer just some how fragging to different parts of the tank. The reason I thought this is becaue their shape resembles the head of the polyps, only a light pink. Staring at my tank today I realise these things are slowly moving...worms. Now im wondering if theyre the ones that killed my polyp seeing as their one of the hardiest corals. Can anyone ID. I checked and couldnt find anything else that resemble them.

I believe Scenario1313 on here just had one and thought it was a baby BTA, turned out to be a nudibranch that was eating his corals as well.

Yep. Not worms but nudi's. They will need to be removed if your going to keep corals again ;)

Hmmm it does seem like a nudibranch to me too. If it is and it's main source of food is GSP (which is most likely not true) there are many people who would love to get a hold of them to keep their gsp in check. But, I assume that they will eat many diff. corals as well so as others have already said, if you want corals in the future, get them out.

No, they will eat pretty much any and all corals, not just GSP's. Thats why the need to be removed ;) If you have any other corals in there, specially zoa's, shrooms, other polyps (softies) I would have them all out of there by tonight

Sucks. So this is why my GSP is dead. Zoos are doing fine. I only see 2 and have only ever seen 2. If I take them out is there a good chance there wont be anymore? And thanks for the fast response.

Done. Took 10 seconds to suck them out with turkey baster. Wish I would have known this 3 weeks ago...cost me $30 in frags. Live and learn.
