    I was told there is a bottle of some kind of stuff (sorry so vague), that you could add and it would only take like 2-3 days for a cycle. Apparently in the bottle is the bacteria, has anybody had any experience with this?

    It's not stuff you'd find at PetCo. The real, effective ones are usually a refrigerated product, and will cost WAY more than Cycle or a similar product will.

    I used live rock and live sand right away and I waited six weeks for full cycle. Best to be patient with this, gonna take some time but if you try to hurry the process you will end up paying more($$$$) in the end. Patience the key.

    You don't have to wait 6 weeks. You just need to test your water for nitrate, nitrite and ammonia. My tank cycled in a week with live cured rock.
