So far, I've been running the BRS pellets for 2 months with minimal benefits seen in nitrate reduction. I just switched over to ecobak (kept a few of the BRS so as not to shock system)...I'm using 1/4 the amount recommended as per the thread I read. I'll keep you updated on my success or lack thereof. Wish me luck!!;)

well, around 80-160 and that's after many water changes, taking out media in my canister, adding a much more powerful skimmer, vacuuming sand, rearranging rock for better flow, adding two koralia (sp) and a maxijet pump, adding beneficial bacteria.....I think that's about it of things I've done to bring them down....and of course the pellets running for 2 months now...

For anyone interested, did a water change and upped my pellets 1/4 more so I'm at half the dosage recommended...we'll see what happens.....

update, my nitrates are coming down FINALLY!! Not by a ton but at least down....of course, I've been continuing water changes as well.....I'll up them 1/4 more this weekend. From what I've been reading, I think my tank is suffering from old tank syndrome in addition to months of poor husbandry (didn't need to do a lot with a FO).
