Hey all! I'm new here and very desperate.

I've had a 10 gallon freshwater tank for a few years. After having an idea to breed a few guppies ( ::) ), they got out of control on me and I had to upgrade. I moved to a 30 gal tank and looking back, I can see where I errored. I took about 10 gallons of old water into the new tank at setup and let it run for a couple of days. Then, I got impatient and added ALL of the fish at the same time.... yes, I know - bad. At that point, there were probably about 25 of them ranging from platys, guppies, frogs, a few tetras, etc. Now, everything has died off except for the guppies and the pleco. The water is very hazy and no one really looks healthy. I've tried doing several small water changes and added Clarity to the water and nothing seems to be helping. It's been about three weeks now since the set up.

I don't know what else to do and I hate to keep losing them. Any ideas?

50 gallons of new water plus I assume new filters? did you use filter medium from established filter?

The only thing I can suggest that may help would be to add some bacteria culture , something like Hagen "cycle" or any of the other commercial products

also what water was it and did you add anything like Tetra aquasafe to the new water as that can also help

I believe the fish you have will continue to die until a balance is established between you biological filter and the bio load
but the 2 products suggested above, should at least bring that period closer and thus help preserve more of your fish

suggestion - could some be located elsewhere to allow time for present systems filters to establish
