I just watched your feeding video, very cool!!!!!

    I have three questions though.

    1. Does it ever come out of the hole?
    2. Have you seen it out of the hole?
    3. Does it have another escape route?(incase it's too big to get out through the hole) LOL

    1. Sometimes
    2. Yes
    3. And that one main den has 3 entrences, and she now has 2 other dens she's dug up.

She's become a whole lot braver after that molt. Still not coming into broad daylight, but is sure moving around alot in the open. Staying mostly to the shadows. And she's also not swimming full speed into her den when she's done exploring...now she just coasts on in instead of fleeing for her life. :D

Another molt or two will have her going EVERYWHERE. ...I hope.

I wouldn't worry about it needing an escape route. Mantis shrimp can actually make holes through rock. My mants has three dens as well. All of which have at least two exits. His main den has four exits lol.

The newest den he made is under a very large rock and he actually pounded a hole in the side of the rock.

Thats funny that you are using your mantis tank to grow out chaeto for your main tank. I am using mine to raise pods for my main. There are a ton in my mantis tank.

Nah he's still stewing in the quaruntine tank. I kind of don't want to put him back because he scares princess into hiding. She's already shy enough. So I dunno what I'm going to do with him. Maybe when Princess gets alot bigger they can be room mates

Here's the peepers stickin out prairie dog style. The tank is next to the computer, so all I gotta do is look sideways and then boom there's some eyeballs out lookin at me. She seems to come out when Aerosmith is playing as well...or techno music. Hmmm...

Each color represents a different den. The main den area is the red one with FOUR total entrances/exits.

My mantis seems to like the movie Wanted. I keep my mantis tank near my computer as well, and whenever I was watching that movie he was watching with me from his rock.
