Anyone have any experience with Brightwell Aquatics Kalk+2? I am considering it over Kent Marine Kalkwasser Mix.

    Thanks!

From what I heard today, Chris Brightwell a marine scientist, was head of research and development with Kent Marine and left because they were cheapening the product line and created Brightwell Aquatics. I am hearing good things about the products. Anyone else?

Yes, the company is based here in PA and I have talked with the representatives... Ive heard all positives about the product and I am satisfied with everything I have used recently from Brightwell

Last I looked it looked quite expensive. If you want to pay for the convience of not dosing magnesium (I haven't seen anything scientifically solid about needing to dose strontium in reef tanks if you do regular water changes, which I believe is the other additive) that's fine, but just be aware that there are much cheaper ways of doing it.

Using bulk kalkwasser and magnesium supplements from BRS is cheaper.

Wow that is a cheaper way to do it. Hmm. I'll be gone for six days this month. I am thinking I'll do the Kalk+2 just for the balance and then go the gallon route with calcium when I can monitor the mag levels.
