kane trees dieing lil help plz

well i noticed that my Kane trees are dieing.I went to the pet store about 2 weeks ago added the water that came with my algae blenny in the bag from the store. my wholeseller i usally buy from sed that they add copper to there tanks and that thats probly y there dieing. But shuildnt the copper be filterd out bye now? anywon now how to get rid of copper or maybie any more resons y my kane trees are dieing my nitrites are at .5 and ph amonnia are perfect. I use 2 250w 14k metal halight builbs 2 t5s, 2 atenic builbs. ANY HELP very appriciated thanks

 

copper will stay in system for as long as the system is there. If you use products that attach to copper that will help remove then you will slowly rid your system of problem. Be carefull when buying from LFS and ask what is there practices. You could save yourself a ton of headachs in the future.

 

Hi, post a pic. I am not convinced about the Copper poisoning. Is anything else showing any ill effects i.e. other Coral, inverts. Do you really mean Kenya Coral or Lamnalia or maybe Colt?

 

Is it dying or turning dark and not expanding? Kenya tree will go thur phases where it will not come out for a few days and them boom it is expanding and growing again.
