Karma? How does it work?

I have been a member for a short time, and my karma is pretty high. It doubled just today, is that normal?

Also what does skin color mean?

i have not been on this site long i dont have everything down, but if im correct karma is when you give someone good info and they reward you buy giving you karma.... i think

 

You get karma from other members if they like a post of yours. You get 1% of their karma whenever this happens. Just click on the scales in the lower left of the sig box to give karma to some one. You can find out who gave you karma by clicking on User CP on the upper right of a page and scrolling to the bottom of the page that comes up.

 

I think skin color is just the color of the background that's being displayed on your screen. I changed mine because dark colored backgrounds are less strain on my eyes after being on a computer all day. However, when someone types using black font, I have to highlight it to read it LOL.

Yup that would be it and when you click on the scales you can input the reason if youd like... i.e "thanks for the info" or "great info" and you can change the skin color if you'd like. It's at the top of the page
