Karma

Ok besides being new to SW I am pretty new to this site and still learning about it. I understand what Karma is but ... how does one get Karma? I understand it comes from one indivudual to another and anyone can give it ....but is it mainly pictures or what? Also when you go to give Karma to someone else how do you give more than 1 Karma?

 

It looks to me like Karma is based on good advise, good pics, good intentions, etc. I have seen Karma given for the death of a fish. In terms of numbers, what I figured out is those with lot 'o Karma give more automatically than those who have none. When I give Karma, I think it's worth two or three points (I am at 160-something). Those who have thousands can give 50 points in one click. If you have ten Karma points, you give one point. If you donate to 3reef, you get 100. If you put up a banner that hyperlinks those back to this site on MySpace, you get 100. If you write an article, you get Karma. Basically, do good, get Karma. Hope this helps.

 

You can also give Karma in the forums, if you look on the left hand side under people's names, on the bottom there is a little icon that looks like a scale. If you click on it, you can "approve or disapprove" of someones post, and you can leave them a comment as well. Once you do all that if youve approved, youve given them karma.
