Keep VHO or convert to T5

I got my tank many years ago and VHO was top of the line next to MH now I see everyone uses T5 and I was wondering should I up grade to T5 and if so what to go with. I am using icecap 660 ballast and would like to keep the ballast since I have an extra for back up and I have a canopy top. I have a mix tank for corals and really want to get into more sps type corals.Thanks for all your help in advance.

 

If it's working for you why change it? I have been using Vho and MH combo for seven years I will not change that for nothing.

 

Yeah its working but is it enough for sps corals. I have only two now one acro which is growing very very slow and a velvet encrusting monti. thats only about 2wks old that seem to be fine. I dont have MH and want to get more sps but dont want to loose them do to poor lighting.

 

if you have the money. i say switch. you wont regret it

 

with t5s you can just cram more bulbs in smaller space. is you wanna do some spsp i owuld ssay deff get some t5s.
