You might have a little more luck with the blue ones as opposed to the green ones...but don't hold your breath. I had a guy tell me once if you want 5-6 chromosome in your tank, you gotta buy 12. ;)

..funny..."I Heard" that they had to be in odd numbers...wth? I got 5 last year..one died right away due to the "Tasmanian dotty devil" I have...but the remaining 4 are, and have been very happy and school together nicely.
....for everything that is the same, many things are different..8)

I call blue/green chromis highlander... because there can only be one!! (I added like 18 total and the big fat one is always the last man standing after a few months)

I called liveaquaria and asked them about it. They said that most people get more males than females which is why they kill eachother off. You are only supposed to have one male. Which they make sure of when you order from them. They are giving me 2 females one male so I should be ok. :)

I'm sure that's part of it. Another is that they are a deeper water fish and are typically brought to surface too fast and because of this they can be doomed from the beginning.

I'm sure liveaquaria has a qt process. If so they would have already weeded those out. I think it's more a problem with LFS supply chains.

I came really close to ordering 3 blue chromis from LA myself last night. There are a few of us that were doing a group buy, if you will. I decided against it, because I currently have 1 green chromis in the tank, and it the last one standing after having 4. 2 jumped, and one died from being stressed from being ousted from the group. I thought adding the blues would be taking a chance given I have just the one green one. Keep us updated on your new purchase, as I am interested to see how they do.
