I currently have three green chromis, who seem to be doing "ok". Been in tank for two weeks, fed 1/4 cube mysis shrimp twice a day. I say "ok" because one of the fish definatly is the bully of the tank, the loner, a rebel. The other two are very different in size, one being noticeable smaller than all three.

So I'm planning on bring them back to the lfs just because I'm limited on inches if fish in my 29 gallon, and want more diversity. I found this thread because I was also thinking of keeping one of the three, and need to decide which to keep.

Do I keep the dominant one, or will be harass other fish later. Or should I keep the smallest timid one ( my preference )? When I return either all three or two I'm taking home a paired set of snowflake oscelaris clownfish to be the biggest fish I have. Other plans are for a barnacle blenny or two, small gobies including a goby pistol shrimp pair, that's about it. Will one chromis be ok by itself?

Yea one chromis will be fine. We had a single one for 2 years before a magenta dotty back decided to kill him....

We now have 2 in a 90, started with 5. They harass each other some but not to bad. They were terrorizing are new Midas blenny but putting a mirror up on the back side of the tank stopped that.
