Odd question but is it actually safe to keep the tanks in your room next to your bed?
I'm just wondering because of all the pumps and "germs" act would it be a concern

I had a freshwater in my room for years. It's too hard for me to wake up with the hum of the pumps and sounds of water so it had to go!

I have had tanks in my bedroom for the last 15 years; healthy as an ox (an extremely healthy ox!).

We used to have FOUR tanks in our room and one or two in each kid's room.

To be honest, tanks are pretty free of pathogenic bacteria that humans can contract...in fact, the only one I can think of offhand is Mycobacterium marinarum, which requires you to have an open sore and stick it into the tank.
