    Hey guys.

I have a question for you. I have some balls of chaeto in my refugium. I am currently using the veggie clip things for feeding tangs to keep them in there. Is there a better way to keep them from flowing into my return pump?

You get better growth when it's tumbling around...... Got a pic of the situation?

Yes, small pieces of live rock for them to gain a foothold will work.

oh that is a good idea about cliping or tying them! I know it is best to let them tumble around, however the way my sump is designed, I have had a lot of trouble getting the chaeto sucked into this little area that then causes a blockage of water to the pumps! I am going to try to tie them down tomorrow

Ok I will try letting it tumble. I had a plant down there before that went over the wall of the refugium, and got sucked up by the return pump and chopped up into little bits.

Here are a couple of pics that show an eggcrate cut to size and glued to stop that from happening. Some pumps come with a filter sponge also.
