I think his fish looks great. He puts in a lot of effort in that fish as do I with mines. Anything is possible if u try and put forth the effort. How do you think we even ended up with fish in a box in our house lol even if dilly or red baron dies because of the care were giving them our tanks are probably way better taken care of then most.
So maybe we should say good job instead of your fish going to die.

now your talking !! Keep it in perspective...my point is that sometimes ..no matter what we do ..or how hard we try..it just don't work out...I'm a realist..sometimes I wish I were not..anyhow, time to go feed my Unicorn. ; )

I hate to say it, but I was thinking the same thing. Since you pointed it out, I can see that the pictures clearly show it. The line on the side of the body is more pronounced, and there is less fat behind the head. In the last picture, the stomach looks a little pinched.

How has the target feeding been going?

He's eating very well. Since I'm target feeding him I can honestly say he's eating up to 5-6 blood worms a day/Nutramar Ova and Rods Fish only. After each feeding he then goes on the hunt for pods. It is only then after he comes out that I can feed him again. This goes on at least 3 times a day. I've watched my tigger pods become depleted twice now. What the pictures don't really show is that he's grown in length! Also I'm taking into account that where as before I got him all's he had to do was sit on the bottom of an empty tank and suck up his food without moving. Now he's gotta move and does so all day long!!! There is plenty of food all the way around for him to eat.
I took these pictures tonight using my iPhone 4s. He's not a *fat* fish period. Instead of criticizing and passing a death sentence upon me and Dilly. How about some helpful suggestions as to something else I could introduce to him to help fatten him up. Remember now, I feed him 3-4x daily and reseed the tank with 1-2000 pods monthly.
