keeping sand clean

    get the giant marine hermit crab, smaller sized ofcourse. i ordered a variety pack from reefcleaners and recieved one of them and all this thing does is sifts the sand and does a really good job doing it. it sifts only the top surface and 1 inch below the surface. it doesnt act like a normal hermit crab, it doesnt go on live rock it stay primarly on the substrate. i shall warn you it will eat any life in your sand excluding snails and corals. it grows really fast too.

    Guess I'm the exception with the black sand as mine still looks black....I have the Caibsea Fiji Black but added a larger grain black sand on top.
